■ 교과목의 개요

현대 심리철학에서 믿음을 비롯한 “지향적” (intentional) 심적 상태에 관한 한, 행동주의-기능주의적 접근이 여전히 우세한 입장이다. 본 세미나에서는 이 접근법 안에서 믿음의 지향성은 어떻게 이해될 수 있는지, 믿음의 대상은 무엇이어야 하는지, 언어의 지향성과 마음의 지향성 중 어떤 것이 우선성을 갖는지 등등의 문제를 다룬다. 또한 이 접근법이 갖고 있는 근본적인 문제는 없는지에 대해 지속적인 관심을 가질 것이다.
