1. 교과목 개요
본 세미나에서는 원전 텍스트 강독 및 관련 이차문헌 독해를 바탕으로 칸트의 자유 개념을 이해하고, 칸트의 자유 이론을 비판적으로 검토하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 칸트의 주요 저작에서 자유 개념은 <순수이성비판>의 변증학, <윤리형이상학정초>의 제3장, <실천이성비판>의 분석학, <이성의 한계 안에서의 종교>의 제1권 및 <윤리형이상학>의 서문에서 주제적으로 다루어지고 있다. 본 세미나에서는 <윤리형이상학>을 제외한 나머지 주요저작들의 해당 텍스트를 검토하고 관련 이차문헌들을 독해할 것이다. 이를 통해 칸트의 저술들에서 발견되는 다양한 자유 개념들을 하나의 자유 이론으로 통합시킬 수 있을지, 인과적으로 결정된 자연 세계에서 초월적 의미에서 의지의 자유가 가능하다는 칸트의 입장이 (초월적 관념론의 맥락에서) 얼마나 설득력이 있는지 살펴볼 것이다.
